About Terry Workman

Terry Workman is an author, leadership consultant, speaker, coach, and founder of OATS Leadership Consulting. With more than twenty years of experience in leadership, ministry, training, mentoring, and organizational development, Terry has dedicated his life to helping people grow, lead, and reach their full potential.

He holds a Master of Divinity and a Doctorate in Theology with an emphasis in Leadership from Southern Bible Institute and Seminary. His background includes serving in pastoral leadership, developing leadership programs, training teams, mentoring emerging leaders, and speaking at conferences, churches, schools, and organizations.

Terry is also a former professional wrestler who competed under the name Frederick O’Neal. During his wrestling career, he became a six-time light heavyweight champion and was inducted into the Alabama Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame. His years in professional wrestling gave him a unique perspective on discipline, resilience, communication, confidence, and performing under pressure; lessons he now uses to inspire audiences and develop leaders.

Terry is the creator of the OATS Leadership Method, a practical leadership framework built around four key principles: Observe, Approach, Topic, and Solution. Through this method, he helps leaders slow down, see situations clearly, approach people with wisdom, identify the real issue, and guide conversations toward meaningful solutions.

His leadership philosophy is simple: great leaders do not just manage problems; they develop people. Terry believes healthy organizations are built when leaders communicate clearly, correct wisely, listen intentionally, and create a culture where employees feel valued, challenged, and equipped to succeed.
